Watch Castelli owner Fred Goldstein in the spotlight as he works with HGTV's Antonio Ballatore (THE ANTONIO TREATMENT) to design a custom framed mirror for the episode 'A Magical Makeover' airing September 29, 2010 at 2PM.

We created a massive 9' x 5' mirror for Antonio's unusual clients: Joel (a successful magician) and Lizz (a professional dancer) for their newly designed rustic living room. We had a great time working with Antonio and the mirror turned out beautifully!

CASTELLI ON HGTV!!

We all knew the time would come - when Castelli gets a its own TV show. Well, ok we didn't get our own TV show. But we are getting featured on HGTV's The Antonio Treatment! A few months ago Antonio headed over to Castelli to get a custom made mirror for a project he was working on in an upcoming episode. Watch him in our showroom, working with Fred and talking about framing!

We ultimately made a custom standing mirror with a custom black lacquer moulding which looked amazing!
It was a monster project, a 9 ' x 5' mirror, but the outcome was great, and now you'll see it on TV! We'll keep you posted on the air date...it is still TBD. But check out The Antonio Treatment's website!

This is a canvas piece, floated on black fabric, with 1" gap to outer frame, to really set the canvas on its own. The we customized the frame with a purple moulding, a gold fabric wrapped liner, and put it all in a shiny black square moulding. This picture doesn't even do it justice!

We can take your jersey and sew mount it in different ways. Here is just one of the various options, as this has a Magic Johnson signature to be shown.

We can easily match true Lakers colors in fabric or regular mats. And we also offer embossed letters to subtly enhance your Lakers framing!

TALENT IS TALENT

This is a canvas that is so reminiscent of a Van Gogh sunflower, but with the energy and vibrancy of innocence and purity. It's such a fresh new approach to impressionistic painting that it's hard to compare it to anything. It has such an individual point of view.

it was also painted by a 4 year old! Most parents beam with pride when their child brings home their artwork, no matter what it looks like. And then there are some cases when that pride might be a bit more justified.

Isabel Konstandt is a perfect example! Her art career started early, at age 3, and talent is talent! From painting and drawing to collages, Isabel explores her world with an open mind - the one that seems to evade most adults these days.

We love seeing her work when her mother comes in to frame it! What better way to foster talent and support your budding artist than to frame the art and hang it next to your other kind of priceless art!

SIZE DOES MATTER

It does for us...did you know we could frame extra large oversize pieces? We have stretched 13 foot canvases before and custom framed huge pieces of art (see a picture of the 9 x 13 Leroy Neiman canvas original on our website under Framing Services/Project Gallery).

Like this one on the right...it is a really cool piece of art, but I can't tell you what it is or who it is by because the privacy of our clients is important to us. If they don't want us to show it, we won't!

It takes all of our 3 tables put together and quite a few people to work on it, but we can do it! This is one of our specialties because it takes some work to make this happen.

We are currently framing large Mullicans, of which one is 12 feet by 6 feet. We are going to have to move it on Monday so I'll have some good pictures next week.

We framed one of our favorites today - Mr. Brainwash's infamous Kobe pieces. We've framed a bunch of these and they are each different. Some customers want purple and gold mat boards around them, and some people let them stand on their own. There are some loyal Laker fans out there...

check back tomorrow or Thursday, because we are framing some HUGE pieces...some of them are 8 feet by 5 feet! they are big and take up almost our entire shop!
