The Color Purple? Absolutely!!!

In ancient times, purple was one of the most complex dyes to extract and hence became the most expensive. It was a symbol of emperors and nobility, and today still signifies royalty. Purple dyes were created from the secretions of marine gastropod mollusks (mostly Murex and Purpura) with thousands of specimens needed to produce just a few drops of color.

The first recorded use of the word 'purple' in English was in the year A.D. 975.

"I never saw a purple cow; I never hope to see one; But I can tell you, anyhow, I'd rather see than be one."
(Frank Gelett Burgess 1866-1951 artist, art critic, poet, humourist)

Purple is the color that lies at the end of the spectrum, has a great significance in Feng Shui. The color is excellent for physical and mental healing and Feng Shui associates it with spiritual awareness.
